Law of Attraction: Where Do I Start?
When you first start working with the Law of Attraction, it can be confusing trying to figure out where to
start. How exactly do you use your thoughts to change your physical reality?
Whether you're at the beginning of your Law of Attraction journey or you're having trouble getting it to work
for you and want to start fresh, take a look at my top tips for getting started below:
1) Clean up your thoughts!
You may have heard it said before that your thoughts are very powerful, and it's true. A mind that is overrun
with negative thoughts creates a life that is overrun with problems and lack. What are the majority of your
thoughts like? Do you constantly expect the worst in every situation? Do you feel stressed and rundown each day? Do
you experience a lot of anxiety and worry?
If so, you'll need to turn that around pronto! How? By choosing better thoughts. Yes, that's right, you can
CHOOSE your thoughts. Believe it or not, your thought patterns are largely habits. If you've gotten used to being
doubtful, pessimistic and frustrated, it may seem impossible to turn it around but start with one thought at a
time! Before you take on any challenges, affirm aloud that you can do it. Say, "I know I can handle this and the
outcome will be great!" Expect the best in every situation rather than worrying about all the bad things that
"might" happen. You probably won't really believe these things at first, but as time goes on you'll start to shift
your negative focus to a more positive one and adopt a true positive thinking habit!
2) Let your positive emotions work for you.
Your emotions are seriously POWERFUL! Emotion is energy, when it comes right down to it. When you experience
negative emotions, you are emitting a negative "signal" to the universe. Likewise with positive emotions and a
positive signal. The Law of Attraction uses these "signals" to create your circumstances!
In order to attract more positive experiences you need to emit a more positive signal, and one of the best ways
to do that is by consciously choosing to feel positive emotions as often as you can. Try this for starters: once a
day set aside 5 or 10 minutes to visualize. Choose a quiet place where you won't be disturbed and bring to mind
something that you want to attract into your life. Close your eyes and imagine that you already have it. Call up
feelings of joy, happiness, gratitude and excitement for this thing, affirming that it's yours! Really get into the
FEELINGS as much as possible. Let them flow through your mind and body, lifting you to a state of sheer bliss. Even
a few minutes a day doing this can bring about amazing changes in your life!
3) Act as if!
Maybe you've heard of this technique before, but we're going to put a slightly different spin on it. One of the
most powerful things you can do when working with the Law of Attraction is to BE the person who already has what
you want. With anything that you're trying to attract, imagine how you would feel if you already had it. Would you
be calm, confident, happy, joyful, grateful? Once you've got a good idea of how you would feel, begin feeling that
way as often as you can! That means thinking, feeling and acting like a person who has what you want. This is more
than "acting as if" - it's about BEING the person who has what you want to attract.
Once you've worked with these techniques for a little while, you may be surprised by how quickly and easily they
work! Just be prepared for a period of adjustment to take place first. Don't expect to be able to turn everything
around immediately; allow time for your new "signal" to begin attracting better circumstances. Soon enough you'll
look back and marvel at how easy it was to change your life.
